Default Late Break - Lake Garda

Any ideas?

Looking for late deal, cheap n cheerful, nice place to stay for 2 or 3 nights around the southern end of Lake Garda from this Sunday / Monday for 2 adults and baby (2 years).

Any recommendations?

Open to suggestions, with or without pool, self catering or hotel, B&B - whatever???

Ive got to go and someone in Brescia on Monday so thought we'd try and get a few days break at the same time.

Looked on TA & Ownersdirect so far.

Thanks

Can't recommend a place Angeldimena. But we are just back from a friends place in Sirmione and the lake is very, very low. People were wading through mud just to get their feet wet so I'd head a bit further up if you can.

The queue on the motorway in the direction of Venice on Wednesday went from at least Desenzano to Sommacampagna. And the say that Gardaland is having a bad year.

We stayed in the Ziba hotel in Peschiera Del Garda. Lovely place with a pool and a spa, but not cheap and cheerful.
I recommend a stay in the south of the lake where you are better connected with the road network; the road around the lake is clogged up with traffic.
We did drive around the lake and went to all the other little cities.
