last posting date for Christmas cards?
Hi there,
I'm probably already too late given the italian post, but if I sent some cards now, do you think they would get to the UK in time?

For Christmas 2010 maybe. That's if they get there at all with the Posta Italiana. Ha.

Posta prioritaria is the only post since they did away with ordinaria a couple of years ago. I usualy post by the 13th and every thing has always arrived on time postal strikes (in uk) permitting.

Does it take longer for parcels? My husband got his family's presents today but hasn't wrapped or boxed them yet. Maybe he'll get round to posting them tomorrow, maybe Tuesday. Do you think they'll get there in time?

To the UK? They should be fine. I've posted and am posting parcels later than the 10th and they've always arrived - they get treated differently to cards and letters. If you are really worried you can pay extra to get it there quicker and once your parcel is over 2kg you have to do this anyway!
