Getting SKY TV in Sicily,Italy.
Hi, I was wondering if there is anyone who could offer me some advice. I recently moved to Sicily, Italy a few months ago. Its taken me a few months to get set up but am hopefully going to buy a new tv and get sky into my apartment. Just have a few questions if anyone is able to answer them for me:
What documentation in needed when going into a store and ordering SKY?
I have a Sky box and card at home in Ireland but I think from looking on the internet that I wud need a satellite pointing to a different direction than the Italian Sky, so would my sky box not pick up any stations connected to the italian communal satellite?
Does the CableCARD Slot tv's work out here and are they any good?
Thanks to anyone who can help me out in any way!!

I needed Codice fiscale, proof of address like a utility bill, and an Italian Credit Card or bank account.

Both Italian and UK sky want you to have a phone line connected to your decoder during the first 12 months.
When I signed up to Sky UK I told them I don't have a phone line but only a mobile. They said it wasn't a problem. I doubt it would be a problem not having a phone if it's OK to not have a phone line connected after 12 months it should be technically possible to not have it connected during the first 12 months.
