I have just got a letter from my bank in the UK asking for my codice fiscale here in Italy, does anybody know why!???

There is an increased level of information exchange aimed at ensuring not onòy that DDT agreements are correctly applied but also that you don't try and be non tax resident in both countries at the same time .

Sorry it should have been DTT ( double tax treaty ) or DTA ( double tax agreement ) .
