Default English speaking hospital healthcare centre

Is there an English speaking hospital or healthcare centre in Italy?

My ex is a nurse and I would like her to live nearer her daughter rather than in that dive called London, UK....

Is there a call for private healthcare for and English or for that matter Afrikaans speaking individual who's a qualified nurse?

I think you might need to find out first if her qualifications will be recognised here. Not all are. The Embasy might be able to help with that.

I know it's not the same thing at all but I once knew an Argentinian Doctor and she couldn't practice anything here at all. She didn't have to go all the way through medical school again but she did have to take the Italian exams to be recognised as qualified.

If they don't speak Italian then maybe they can work with the Nigerians?

AFAIK for an eu citizen it is fairly straight forward. You need to get your diploma recognized by sitting an Italian exam. Having said that, nothing turns out straight forward here. For non eu it is more complicated.

I really don't understand the question from the OP. Do you mean is there a private hospital for expats here in Italy? Anywhere in Italy? Or a general hospital where they also speak English?? Does the EX speak any Italian? I presume from the question, not?

Anyway, here are 2 thoughts I had about this -
1. Italy is a fairly large European country therefore if there was such a hospital and it was located, e.g. in the south and you were in the north, it might be more convenient and cheaper to travel to Italy from London.
2. Would you really want a nurse giving you a sponge bath who couldn't understand you telling them their hands are too cold??
