They did that in Spain, now no one can sell.

Perhaps no one can sell in spain because its rubbish and full of Brits.

The planning law in Calabria severely restricts the building heights and density. No new planning permissions are allowed within 300m of the beach.

Similar price increases in Tuscany over the past 15 years have been sustained and I pretty certain that the market in Tuscany is still buoyant?

If it was full of Brits then they would be paying the silly prices and the offplan places would sell. ;-(

So its not full of Brits then??

Or is it that the sensible people with money to spend go elsewhere now? Somewhere that egg and chips is not the staple diet perhaps?

I am looking there too, can anyone give me any first hand experience about actually living there permanetly. Is there a large expat english community?
It looks really nice to me and I have seen so many variations of prices on off plan sites, its hard to know what to do for the best. Any advise is welcome as I am serious about this move.In fact any information on any aspect of living in the region is a help.

Frenchie

There is not an expat community there. English is spoken in some restaurants, but its rare to see a menu with english translation on it.
