Default Decodificatori Digitale Terrestre

I purchased a Decodificatori Digitale Terrestre 3 or 4 years ago when they were first marketed (with a government subsidy) primarily to be able to watch BBC world. All was fine and I could watch all the RAI, mediaset and other channels. Since the recent switch however over my decoder will not receive any of the RAI channels but it continues to receive Mediaset etc and BBC world. More correctly it registers all the RAI channels when you do a channel search but nothing comes on the screen when you select a RAI channel.
Does anyone else have a similar experience, is my decoder too old? I have tried to update the software on the decoder but there is no update to download. Do I need to buy a more modern decoder?
