My flat is about 20 min by car from Quattro Castella but we are on the plain, along the Via Emilia. We can see the hills from the balcony and it is in a conveniently located small village. Message me if you are interested, who knows... I would be happy to rent it for a year
We do get down to -15 sometimes, but it is rare. -7 is common in January. Summers are usually like in Parma, on average around 30-35C. Don't worry if you have to buy things like plates and sheets, now Ikea is everywhere.
