Re: Census 2011

:huh:I suppose they have a point. Anyway, it's actually not too difficult to fill in.
I'm feeling quite smug about it now. I took the bull by the horns, opened the envelope again to have a look, grabbed a pen, and did it. Being just two of us, not working, poorly educated, not many possessions; didn't have much to tell them.:D
ciao for now,

Re: Census 2011

I've got to fill it out for 2 adults and 2 kids. I've flicked through it and seen that they want travel details of how you get to work and school, internet connections and blah, blah blah.

I'm not even going to look at again until I can sit down quietly with a nice glass of wine and a pen.

I can't be bothered to do the on-line version. I haven't checked but I wonder if you can do a bit at a time and save it as you go along? I bet you can't and once you've started you have to finish. That's why I think I'll do the paper one. A few pages, a glass of wine, put it away and do another few pages another evening.

Have they stipulated what kind or colour pen one must use?

I did read somewhere that the colour must be blue or black.

My son offered to fill it in, didn't refuse the offer.:D The basic version is not difficult and for the most, it's all information you supply when applying for residency.

Yes well done.

Ours arrived today addressed to the OH. I suppose my name isn't Italian enough.

It's only 24 pages of which 3 are blank and 1 is for official use only.

Seems pretty straightforward to me.

Does anyone know what you should do if you don't receive one? I should have received it as we have been resident at our address for long enough. I had a look at the website and they don't say. Obviously they are assuming that they all arrive as required.;)

Count yourself lucky?

Actually I don't know. I'd wait another few days and then go ask in the comune seeing as they are the ones giving them out and are supposed to have census help people in each comune.

Having filled out the census I see you can post it off or hand it in at the post office free of any charges. Do you get a receipt? If they lose it you could end up with a €2K fine. I hear that both the 800 help line and census website are not working due to an overload of people trying to use them.

Chris, you can't post it. You have to hand it in at the PO or comune, but not until after the 22nd of Oct. The date by which everyone should have their form. I did wonder about a receipt too. You have to hand it in by the 20th of November after which they will come looking for it.

Yesterday the on-line site wasn't working. I would have been suprised if it had. From today, Telecom is working on it.:D The call centre was also a no no.

i had this sinking feeling when i tried to start filling out the form on line that it wouldn't work and guess what? the first page asks for the codice then the password before allowing access well i can see the password but the only codice i can find is on the upper left hand corner of the first page and it says codice questionario but when i put these two in i was refused access reason given a mistake in the codice or the password any advice?

Should have written; if you don't hand it in by the 20th Nov, they will come looking for it, but there is plenty of time to hand it in. Up to March 2012, depending on the size of your commune.

The had a lot of problems yesterday with the site so it might not have been you. The news said that they've now fixed the problems. AFAIK The codice is your CdF/password.

The code you need is the Codice Fiscale of the person to whom the
form is addressed.
We were told details would then come up in english - there is a choice of language but English is not one of them.
