Default bicarbonate of soda ?

I have the Italian translation but search as I might cannot find it in the supermarkets. Has anyone bought it here please?
I use it for cleaning things and removing odours -from my chopping boards
Thanks in advance

Readily available in the supermarkets but not where you might expect to find it.

I think I was looking for it in the baking section and it was in the cleaning section!

Just ask one of the shop girls where the bicarbonato di sodio is.

did you know that if you have sweat marks on white t-shirts then you make a paste with bicarbonate & water and paste it on the armpits - leave it for a while (sometimes if they are stubborn I leave them up to a day) and then chuck them in the washing machine. Works

(I know it sounds gross but with teenage boys it does happen)

Good tip.

You can make a paste with bicarbonate and washing up liquid (one of those de-grease ones) and spread it on the cooker and oven door and it dissolves grease and oil.

I've put it in stinky trainers before as well.

Thanks everyone-Stupidly I've been searching in the baking section. The cleaning shelves still confuse me also!! Ah well piano piano-as my neighbours keep saying followed by "finito?"
Just can't please everyone all the time.
You are brilliant people and so generous with your time and advice. x
