Friday morning will be fine. You know the place better than us so let us know where. Late morning would be preferable, perhaps 11:00. Hope Clint can make it.
regards,
Richard & Celena.

11:00 sounds good. Black Fashion Coffee, near the post office, or there are a couple of bars beside the "Chiesa Madre" - not it's real name, but it is the large church in the square at the eastern end of the pedestrian street. It's full name is Basilica Santa Maria della Vittoria.

Hope you're having fun. Drink a few aperitivi for me. Just prosecco. I don't like that Aperol stuff

Hi Lorna, how are you? It seems ages since we were discussing weddings - it is ages, we now have 3 grandchildren!

We had great fun, got on like a house on fire, although we did stick to coffees this time. I am sure we will eventually get onto the hard stuff.

I know someone who is trying to move to the area (dependent on a house sale) and at first wondered if you were them, but now it seems not. I think you will find Brits dotted around. Go to lots of bars and ask if any other Brits in the area.

These two sites are saying it is quite expensive in Italy compared to other EU states, but we’ve found our bills to be not much different. A 6kw supply will cost you more. There are incentives for solar, but likely in the form of tax credits, others may have more details.

Hi, we have a 6Kw supply, largely because we are totally electric and do not have gas. So the supply has to be sufficient for the under-floor heating & cooling, hot water and induction hob in addition to the usual appliances and lighting. I am told that the 6kw supply is more costly than the bog-standard 3kw but given that we are paying only €115 per month for all the electricity we use I don't think the extra for the 6Kw supply can be significant.

We have the option of installing photo voltaic panels but are wondering if it's worth the outlay of about €15,000 (including the cost of a battery to store electricity for use when its dark). Yes, we could get some "fiscal detraction" or rebate but it would be spread over 10 years and be dependent on offsetting against tax payable: what a palaver.

Thanks for the response. I wonder why you should elect battery storage when you could feed into the grid and produce yr own electricity thus lowering yr consumption and possibly creating a surplus during the summer months. I thought that was how it worked but I could be wrong.

I expect others will be able to advise on the current benefits of feeding back into the grid, but my understanding is that it is no longer as attractive or beneficial as before.
As far as creating a surplus - that's just what the battery would be for, accumulating a surplus.
