We done it ourselves!
We just thought, we would have to supply a visa company with all our info so why not do it ourselves
and it saved us about £3k
Any questions we had we posted them on here, everyone is so helpful they were falling over to answer them!! (Very grateful to them
)
We applied in Nov on a Sir 495, done PCC and meds and just waiting for CO to give us the go ahead now!!!!!!!

we were initially going with the visa bureau until the contract came through which stated how much they charge - found them to be charging £1k more than other agents. We then set about finding someone else to save ourselves a packet with www.ianharrop.co.uk
we have just had visa grant and they have a max 24hr turnaround on emails and kept us up to date with immediate effect, no hold ups although there were things to chase.

If your application is straight forward.. you really dont need an agent. I did my families and my parents visa's successfully. Just do your research, give them all they want in terms of doc's and u will be fine.

That is a bold assertion (if I may say) ... there are a variety of considerations intending migrants have to weigh up when deliberating about handling visa applications themselves as against engaging an agent.
Not all are comfortable completing forms and assimilating paperwork. Some like to have someone to talk to about the specifics of their application. Many like to have the comfort of someone managing the application who has seen similar applications before.
Visa applications may appear straightforward to some. But certainly not to all.
Best regards.

Ditto.
I had a tight deadline to get my visa application in (needed to be in for my 30th birthday to get enough points for skiled independent perm visa) and they were fantastic. Chased my skills assesment when it was being held up and got the application in 2 days before my birhtday!
