Default where do i go?

arriving on 457 visa 3rd jan!
Ive been told we have to go and get visa details put in passport?
Do we do this at the airport?

it says we can do it up to 4 weeks after we enter Australia?
Bit confused!!!

OH, 4 weeks after, so how do you get in in the first place then? Ours (136) had to be in the passport before we got here.

Someone will know.

The 457 is electronic, which means you can enter Australia without an actual stamp in your passport.

You should then go down to the local Immigration department in the state you move to where they will place a sticker in your passport.

As far as I know this is not always true, for example if your passport is not ETA-eligible, or if the sponsor is an offshore company. In these cases, a visa label may be needed in advance.
