When can we expect the AOS request?
Hi all,
We have applied for 138 visa class(Australian Sponsered Skilled
Migration).
It's been 3 months now, since we submitted the application. Our time
line:
May4,2005-Skills Accesed by IEA positive
Sept 15,2005-Filed PR papers
Oct-Got acknowledgement
We will be submitting our PCC/Med soon. Any idea when we can expect AOS
request because my sponser & assurer(my bro ;) ) will be leaving to
India(our homeland) for 1 month in Feb. In case we get the AOS request
then, will it be a problem?
On the envelope to send our PCC,what else other than File no:,From
Address,Name etc should be included?
PB:We were never requested for these docs.Just sending them in advance!
:D

Re: When can we expect the AOS request?
Best guess on the timeline for the AoS request letter would be sometime in the next 2-3 months. Unfortunately 138 class visas seem to be on the bottom of the priority list for DIMIA, and there are numerous people on here who seem to be waiting somewhere around 6 months for the Med/PCC/AoS requests to come through. Your Assurer being out of the country for a month should not be a problem as you get 70 days to respond to the request, and if it looks like it will take longer you can ask you CO for an extension. They are pretty good about those as long as you don't drag it out too long. I asked for one when I was doing my AoS as the wait for an appointment in Melbourne at the time was something like 2 months!
Good Luck!
