Just to point out that WA has removed brickies from their state sponsorship list and I know plenty of brickies, most of them are self employed and do not sponsor, just hire TAs busy season....

Doesn't matter what the score they give you is, you will still have to get the correct score n the immigration website that OS gave you a link for. I suggest you look at that now, and check just what you need.

If you can find a state to sponsor you, you have 5 + Age 25 + Quals 10 + Exp 15 = 55, so you need IELTS scores of 7 and 10 points to pass the points test.

I am back sorry guys lol. Right done a credit score there and got 55 points a big drop from 80 :-( . Been told I can do a ( ielts) course english test has anyone had to do it and passed .

Lots of people do IELTS for all sorts of reasons - I did it for points, others have to do it as part of skills assessment. With 55 points you only need to get 7's and there is help online and at the colleges, etc conducting the tests. There are two types - Academic and General, and as it's just for points it will not matter which you do.

The 4 tests are reading, listening, writing and speaking. Both the reading and listening are multiple choice questions. The writing has two written pieces of differing lengths and speaking is fairly general with questions on home, neighbourhood, friends and family sort of questions with one longer question where you are given time to think about an answer first.
