Default What if medicals are opened by customs officer ?

I hace placed two labels stating: DOCUMENTS - NO COMMERCIAL VALUE on each envelope containing medical forms + RXs and have also stated the same on the international waybill attached to the shipment box

Does exist any chance of being opened by customs officers ?
What would happen in such case ? Would I be requested to do med. exams again ?

Thanks

Customs are never interested in documents, so relax

Cheers

I really hope so !!!
I read this from another thread (# 145772) Diana wrote:

I sent our medicals and xrays via DHL on 17th March 2003 and these were received by Adelaide on the 25th March 2003 - cost £61.41
The items were held up at Oz customs for 4 days
I understand from DHL that customs tend to be a little bit sticky when x-rays are being mailed - no idea why.

Even if they were, they tend to seal stuff again with a notice
that it was examined by customs.

When the doctor sends you the medicals back to you are they sealed in an envelope?

Do you have to send the actual x-rays off as well and is it o.k to put them all in together in one envelope?

Just been for meds and am not sure of the answers!!

I have done med. exams + Rx + blood test together at the same hospital and they gave them back to me inside a big sealed envelope with the hospital logo.

You could choose to do Rx with another panel radiologist and the panel doctor could ask you to do blood tests outside his/her hospital, but anyway he/she will put all the pieces inside a single envelope and will give it back to you

This seal must arrive unbroken to DIMIA (except customs officers were interested in looking inside the envelope)
