Default What happens now please?

Hello Everyone,

Well I have finally posted off my Spouse visa app and it will arrive in Aus House tomorrow. I frontloaded my meds and police form.

What happens now? I gave my email address. Do I get any acknowledgement or do I just wait for weeks without hearing? Just so I know whether to forget about it for a bit!!

After taking seemingly ages to collate the thing, I feel a bit at a loose end now......just hoping I have put enough in......

Thanks

Itigo

In my case I got an email confirming they had received my application and that I had a case officer within about a week. About a week after that I had my visa.

UK applicants who meet all the requirements and front-loaded meds and police checks tend to get spouse visas very quickly: I know I'm not the only one on here who did so.

I didn't get any confirmation of receipt or that I had a case officer. I used the special delivery online thing to tell me it had been received, saw from bank details that the money had gone and within the week got the passport back with the visa inside. Could have been done by the post boy as far as I know Don't worry.

hi Itigo,

I know how you feel. It's like you dash around in a crazed frenzy trying to get everything together as fast as you can and to the best of your ability, then bang........ All you can do is wait!

I posted my chest x-rays out on the 12th December and according to the Royal Mail track and trace it's still waiting for delivery in Australia. Don't know what it means by waiting for delivery "in" Australia. As it has been like this since the 15th December.

I'm guessing that I might be in the same boat as yourself and moneypen20. Thinking of giving immigration office a call just to ask for advice. On the nightshift the now though, so will have to wait. Doh!

Good luck with your app and would be good to hear how you get on.

Regards,
Jock.
