What 2 do 1st
My boyfriend and i did the 12 month working visa to Oz and decided thats where we wanted to live. Since returning to the UK in 2002 we have both got trades. I'm completing my NVQ L3 Hairdressing in June my boyf is six months into paid work experience as air con refridge eng (done qualifications prior to job). We want to be in Sydney for xmas 2009 as this will give us enough (so we think) paid work experience in our trades.
We have done the skilled work assessment and seem to have enough points but the work experience is letting us down. Are we being too eager to start applying now or can you only apply when you've done 12-18 months exp????
No idea what we need to do anyone been in the same situation????

If you want to apply for a skilled visa, I'm not sure there is any way around the 12 months work experience requirement.
Good luck!

Once you meet the requirements for the visa apply!
As long as you can show evidence of your relationship and of living together for at least 12 months it should be ok.
You should get your visa well before your wedding anyway.
