Question Which visa for new baby after having validated our 175 visas?

Hello,

We have validated our 175 visas in December and are now back in the UK, expecting a new baby due in August. We then want to move to Oz permanently as soon as the baby is here and has his/her passport and visa.

Now I don't know what we will need to do to get a visa for the new baby once it arrives. Will it be a 'change of circumstance' to our already completed application, or a completely new visa application for a new dependant? If someone could tell me which application (which form etc.) we will need to file for the new baby I'd be very grateful. And most importantly: How long will it take to process? We are hoping it's just a formality and will come though in a matter of weeks, as we want to move by the end of the year, is that the case?

Many thanks for any information!

P.S.: I just googled some more and am thinknig we will need to lodge the 47ch form, is that right?

Child (migration) visa will be needed. New application, new fee and child will need a medical.

Normally straightforward, but not a "formality".

or, if you make your move before baby is born, i think the baby will automatically be an Australian citizen
