Validity of IELTS test
Hi all,
I have conducted the IELTS test last year in April - it ran ok. I have
applied at DIMIA (for a 136) in March this year (ack.-letter came in
March). I have read, that DIMIA wants to have an valid IELTS test
result no older than 1 year. Does this apply to the date the
application have been lodged at DIMIA (date of ack.letter) or the date
the application is assessed by a CO or the date the visa is finally
granted/rejected?
Any comments, experiences are much appreciated.
Thank you
best regards
Mark

It's from the date you applied... the date your application was received.
However, that does not mean the CO would not request a new test though.
Anyone can reconfirm?
Good Luck!

I haven't seen them request a new IELTS test if the old one was less than 12 months old at application. However who knows what fresh hell awaits us when the change the points for age later this year...

I still hope the changes won't affect already lodged applications... :-( Don't you? I think it would be absolutely unfair from their side to review all cases according to the new rules after the 1st of July...
All the best
