TRA (motor mechanic)
Hi All
Had conformation from my agent that my TRA (motor mechanic) was lodged Friday 16th June. Shall post a date when and if I am accepted. Fingers crossed that it shall happen soon. My "wife to be" an I, are itching to get too North Lakes, Redcliff area just north of Brisbane...Like NOW!!!!!
Are there any other motor mechanics at the same stage or that have recently applied and passed the TRA please let us know how long it took.

Hi there,
My hubby is a mechanic and we sent off application ourselves. Job description he sent was extremely thorough and very detailed. We were granted our visas 3 weeks ago. We didnt need to go through TRA again as we had already been in Aus in 1997. TRA dont seem to be taking that long just now as they are desperate for skilled workers. Get your Agent to put your name forward on the immigration website for vacancies. We have had a company email us to see if OH would send his CV to them and friend has been offered a job in Adelaide with a Volvo dealer when he gets there. Still in UK just now. Another friend who is a builder got his TRA within 1 month.

It doesn't seem to take too long we got our back in just over a month.

The hardest part is ove the visa application is the easy bit.
