Default TRA Assessment - Certified Copies

Good day, Am I correct in thinking that you have to have all original documents certified as a true copy by a solicitor prior to sending for the assessment? I have contacted a local solicitor who will charge £5 per document, seems a little excessive as we have lots of documents it is going to cost a small fortune. Do any of you guys know a cheaper alternative please?
