But I am no longer scared. (Rooksie knows what I mean)

its just the worst feeling isnt it. one minute youre up and the next youre down. been there got the t shirt. same with us - hubbie is a plumber and got all the qualifications but trained with Shell who are gas/lpg so most likely get assessed as gasfitter but recent work experience is plumbing and gas. god its a nightmare and to make it worse we have one failed TRA behind us already!!!! second attempt just gone off to agent arghhhhhhhh

The TRA poem

Getting all the details
To write down on my forms
Piss off old employers
Writing dusk till dawn

Eating, sleeping, dreaming
The dreaded TRA
No chance of sex for us tonight
Game of Data sheets we'll play

Send it to the agent
Have some sleepless nights
Your applications crap they say
With your husband you will fight

Go back to getting info
Pay up some more cash
Go and get some evidence
Your keyboard you will bash

Then you come on Expats
Discover you're not alone
The TRA have spread their seed
Its rotting to the bone

So bollox Mr Howard
We appreciate your 'Boss'
Bollox to the agents
Refuse us at your loss.

(Alan, I love you really)

Im not very busy at work as you can see.

Idle fingers itching to type can only spell one thing - trouble.

I shall have to stop myself from doing a story about 'Barry' the camp TRA man kidnapping us all and tying us up with a purple furry boa and then we get rescued by Jeremy.

My main concern is spending ages putting together your TRA and then you get the kind of e-mail that Hilary got..

I wish you all the best Hilary6.
What I can't understand is why they make the process soooo difficult. I appreciate they only want the best people but if they really do have a shortage of skilled workers then you'd think they would be a bit less picky. If someone has a skill and has worked continuously all their lives then surely that must count for something?
