Smile Totally hypothetical situation

This hasn't happened to me (yet - God forbid) but I was wondering -

What would happen if we were living in Australia, and an elderly relative came to visit on, let's say, a 3 month ETA, and during their visit suffered an illness which then meant they were not able to fly again (eg severe stroke / Heart attack)

What would happen as far as immigration goes?

Just interested......

Cheers

Happens from time to time. The medical treatment visa is one possibility, other times, DIMA are prepared to issue a Bridging Visa E.

The importance of good travel insurance cannot be underestimated.
