tax question-affect PR? help
My Bf and I have applied for PR 2 1/2 months ago (him being the main applicant).
A few days ago we were talking to some friends of ours who have just returned from a whv, and we got on to the subject of tax returns. My Bf forgot to put a tax return 4years ago when he was in aus (as he had to return early due to family problems ,he didn't even apply to get his super back as this was the last thing on his mind).
He was earning good wage and was paying tax every week (as non resident). The problem is when we sat down with our friends to work out his tax he owes ~ 2600!!! he earned ~ 29,000
Right now i'm very worried and annoyed because this could ruin our chances of getting into australia and affecting the application.
I know if it doesn't affect the PR we will sort it out as soon as we get to aus but should we do something about it now?
Anyone with any useful info or advice please reply.
