Default Studying Early Childhood Education in Australia

Hi everyone,
Iam new to this forum. My hubby and I are in our late 30's and 40's and I just applied at colleges in Queensland for a Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care. I have always worked in Childcare but only did a 2 year course in Germany and always wanted to study abroad. Hubby is a Physiotherapist and he will also apply for jobs in Queensland.
I did my IELTS Academic and got my results last week with an overall Band 7 the highest score a 8.5 in speaking.
I know Physiotherapists and Early Childhood Educators are needed in Australia. I have lived in Australia before on a WHV.
Just wondering how soon we can apply our visa if I get into college. I applied at TAFE Queensland and at QAT. Would like to enrol in Jan 2025 and move in Nov/Dec this year. How soon before the move could I apply for the student 500 visa? As far as I know hubby would be on my visa.
Thanks in advance. 😊

All the details about student visas are on this link. Looks like you need to show proof of enrolling on a course before you apply for the visa. Have a good read of it all.

Your husband will need to meet whatever requirements Australia has for physiotherapists, in order to be able to work. This is probably a good starting point

You do realise that even when he is registered he will only be able to work 48 hours per fortnight if on your student visa.

Are you planning to move permanently or do you just want to spend a couple of years here?

Hi, we would like to move permanently to either Australia or New Zealand. I am aware of the working hours. The salary in Australia is still higher than in Germany for Physios and Early Childhood Educators.
We have savings as well but are hoping to get a Sponsorship visa through either his or my job at some point.
His English isn't as good as mine yet, that is why we are moving over on a student visa. But it has always been the plan for me to study again.
I just got accepted for a Diploma course starting in January on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Got my letter of offer last night and paid my fees today.

Will apply for the visa by the end of the month.
Thank you for the links as well. We will have a read through everything and hubby will get his documents ready. 😊
