Hi, first time posting here! Hoping for some advice please.
My husband is an Electrical Engineer and is on the skills list and we would have 65 points. We want to move to Perth. The issue is he will be 45 in November this year so time is not on our side. Should we try and get the documents together and submit EOI before turning 45 anyway with hope WA invite us to apply or bypass and try to obtain a 482 by applying for jobs? Are there any other options for us? We have booked a call with a Migration Agent but wanted to gather our own information first. Many thanks for your help!

A 482 is a temporary visa and generally you would need to be under 45 to transition to a permanent visa.
A better option would be a 186 but that would require the positive assessment.
Standard times for EA is about 15 weeks from application, but they do have a fast track which is quicker.
