The South Australian Government has announced it is removing some skilled occupations from its wanted skills lists from 31st March, 2009.
Unfortunately the occupations that will be removed have not been identified, but we anticipate they will reflect the trade skills that were removed from the Department of Immigration's Critical Skills List a few days ago.
We are also expecting similar amendments to the Wanted Skills Lists of other States and Territories - we will bring details at Go Matilda News as soon as we become aware of such changes.
In the meantime we recommend that intending skilled individuals who have not been granted visas and who would like to be in a position to move to Australia in the next 6 months should look into sponsorship from a State or Territory Government - sponsorship continues to enable skilled applications to be processed as a priority by the Department of Immigration.
Go Matilda can quickly check which States and Territories are sponsoring each occupation. If you are an intending skilled migrant - who may or may not have already lodged a skilled visa application - and would like expert guidance on your visa options please contact us. We will be pleased to have a free discussion about your situation and your visa strategy.
