Default Solicitor stamped the original PC!!

I decided to get a couple of copies made of our police clearance forms just in case we needed them in future knowing that we had to send the original to oz. Our solicitor has just posted everything back to us and has stamped and signed everything including the originals with the words - "I certify this to be a true copy of the original etc....."
Shall I just get new ones issued and pay the £20 or shall I send them away?
Anyone got any advice?
Thanks
Michelle

It's incredible that a solicitor could have done this. Send them off, but to be on the safe side you need to get new ones just in case a fussy case officer decides to reject them.

You should be OK in my opinion, because if you try to make a copy of the original PC letter, it comes out with the words FRAUD all over the copy!!!!!

Hi Michelle,

Sometimes a secretary will stamp an original by mistake. Shouldn't be a problem if the original is clearly an original, but you could mention the mistake in your covering letter.

Cheers,

George is right. Easily-done and your solicitor could reassure you that there is no reason to panic. I agree with George, Send letter and if DIMIA baulk, tell solictor to send letter as well!
