Default Social Care Qualifications Assessment

Hi there. My husband holds an HNC in Social Care and an SVQ4. It looks like the first thing we have to do before thinking about a visa is to get the Australian Social Work folks to assess his qualifications. I'm more than happy to do this but just want to check first about the likely outcome and ask if anyone knows what the likelihood of success is in terms of these types of qualifications being approved?

Social care is a bit vague - what occupation are you applying as?

On reading your other thread in the Canadian forum I would say that you're not likely to be able to pass the skills assessment. Does he have a degree in social work? Do you?

Another important factor is whether your skill (or his).are on the lists of eligible jobs. First thing you need to do is look at the DIBP site and find out if you are eligible for a visa. Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection is where to start.
