Default Skilled Independent ones who applied after February ( not fast tracked)

Hi,

Is anybody in this forum who applied after February ( in skilled
independent; not fast tracked) and already got medicals ?

I tried to check on "Austimeline" but there is no such a person. I do not
believe that in Adelaide they still proceed application received before
February.

Any response is welcome

Nuta

Why do you not believe so?

Hi Nuta,

One of our clients who lodged in March was recently requested to do
medicals, however this is the first one we have seen, and others who lodged
in February are still waiting. It depends on the case officer and team more
than anything.

Cheers

So are these 50 weeks of proceeding time still valid?
Is it possible that people who logged their applications in February and
still haven't got papers for medicals will receive their PRs before February
2003?

I lodged mine at the end of Feb. Haven't heard a thing since.

It was 2 months before they even acknowledged it.

I would think so. DIMIA is still quoting 50 weeks in ther acknowledgements (for the categories concerned).

Can a string be long?

I am assured that Team 2 are doing May 2001, and i know that some Team1's have got their visas (Baldbutts was Feb and they've had theirs for about 3 weeks now).
Team 2 are surnames A to M (approx) and Team 1 are N- Z. Basically Team 1 are behind 2 bur catching up.

Mind you- who knows. I am going to try today to start a new regime- living life day to day and enjoying it as all this impatience is making me miserable.

Good luck

Nicky

I'm team 1, which on my letter say they are looking at surnames from A-L. (London Office)
We rang only a week or so ago and they had just started May 2001. Going on what austimeline says they seem to be doing a month in a month, therefore not catching up at all.

Based on this I'm expecting to hear in December/January
Applied early Sept 20001

Confused!

George,

Is that March 2001 or 2002?

We are, but I don't think that was the original point of the thread.

We seem to be in a 2 class system. Those waiting upto 20 months from London, and the 'lucky' ones being processed already in Adelaide even though they applied after us.

Grumble grumble grumble.............

Yes, it does seem rather unfair, doesn't it? The early bird doesn't always get the worm...

Then again, those who applied to London should blame the fasttracking of ICT more than anything else.
