Skilled Independant - How can spouse get more points
Greetings!
My husband has had his trade assessed as an Electronic Equipment Trades
Person thus qualifying for 60 points.
He is 35 [20 points]
Competent English [20 points]
Working in trade or related [10 points]
With the points changing we can no longer make it on his points alone.
How do I go about qualifying for the extra 5 points?
I am a Software Trainer/Instructor, qualified MCSD [Microsoft Certified
Solution Developer]
I do not have working experience in the programming industry, however I do
have 4 years software lecturing skills.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Monique

Download the latest ACS guidelines and see if you qualify under any of the categories for skills assessment.

Hi Monique,
Do you have a degree or diploma? MCSD won't qualify with your work
experience unfortunately.
Have you considered bonus points with the statutory deposit?
Are you using an agent already?
cheers
