Do the DIMA request any financial information before issuing visa's.
I've had a WHV before and I've had to submit bank statements.

They never asked me for anything - you are moving there and they make
it clear that you need to support yourself. Even though I filled in on
the form that I ws taking $50000 of assets with, no one ever checked
it.
