shud I mention a 4 years old hospitalization??
good afternoon everyone.
about 4.5 years back I was living in the UK and during that time I was admitted to a NHS hospital for 7 days. the reason for hospitalization was a 'gall bladder stone'. It was a small stone which cleared on it's own and since than I had had no problem at all.
at present I am living away from the UK- in Indonesia.
my question is:
aa. shud I declare this hospitalization in form 26. [I would like not to mention
this because I am afraid LCU might ask me to undertake a lots of tests-
tests freak me out]
bb. is 'gall bladder stone' or 'common bile duct stone' a problem serious
enough to make me disqualified.
cc. can DIMA enquire NHS and get any information in the future incase I
don't mention it. [I belive NHS has 'data protection acts' inplace]
does anyone have experience with disclosing such 'long forgotten' hospitalization events and getting additional tests asked for by LCU.
please advice.

Put small gall bladder stone, self resolved itself 4.5 years ago no further problems
It will not cause you to fail medical, they are looking for current or potentially very expensive conditions.

Don't mention waht they don't ask for unless it's to your benefit.

Re: shud I mention a 4 years old hospitalization??
thank you all,
what I really would like to know is that, if I don't mention about the hospitalization, is there any way that DIMA could find it out from NHS. now or in the future.
does 'data protection' [by NHS] mean that NHS would not disclose any information to outsiders.
thanks again.

Its not going to cause problems for you, so why concern yourself with it. Just be honest and declare it.
