Default Self Employed - how to prove?

Hello

I was just wondering.... if you have been self employed in your Skilled Occupation for the last couple of years, to establish your employment in this field, would letters from clients be acceptable regarding the work you have done for them and also tax returns etc etc etc???

The proof from employer is rather redundant in this case.

Thanks for your help

As an IT contractor I provided references from clients, but as my assessing body needed to see a certain amount of full time (or equivalent) work the references stated I had worked full time during the period they referred to. What occupation are you nominating as others may be able to provide specific advice?

Hi, we are self-employed and when we applied for a visa we had to get references from our customers, suppliers, accountant. We also had to hand in letter headed business paperwork and business cards.
We built up quite a portfolio of different companies we had used over the 20 years of our business.

It all went through smoothly.
