Re: Email to IGIS
But why would you ask them? Hey here's a thought, wait a while, and when they know the status they will contact you. I am soooooo glad I'm not a CO or a IGIS officer, I would get seriously naffed off by people interrupting my work to ask me if I'm doing my job.

Re: Email to IGIS
Status of what exactly? As the name suggests, this is an Inspector you are writing to, and they do not process anything, they inspect. Meaning that ASIO, DIAC's and whoever else's staff instead of doing their job (like processing visa cases) have to answer to the Inspector's office inquires, basically confirming that the case is being processed. Now, multiply your own "only ask" by tens of thousands of others and try to figure how much processing time is wasted by answering questions that have no answers.

Which will say 'your application is in the system and will be dealt with at some random point in time' or words to that effect.

Threads merged on unanswerable Security Check questions.
Its pointless hassling any of the agencies, as stated here
Contacting them isn't going to speed up any of the checking process, if anything it slows things down by stopping people from doing their jobs.
