Default Salary Question

Hi

Bit of a stab in the dark I know.

But does anyone have a rough idea of what a decent salary is in Brisbane. When I say decent, I mean to pay the bills, run a car, afford the odd night out etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Jo

I'm gonna say this before anyone else does, but it does depend upon what job you are doing, do you have a family etc? There are far too many variables to consider.

Check the job websites, which are available www.seek.com.au, www.monster.com.au etc.

We don't have any family, just myself and my husband.

My husband is a CNC Programmer and I'm a HR Officer, if this is of any help?

I think what I really want to know is what is a decent hourly rate to expect? i.e. is $20 an hour decent? or is that the equivalent of the national minimum wage?

$20 it's just an average manual (skilled) workers rate..
this will not give you a 'decent' living std on it's own..

cheers
