just a quick question,
Is the 457 for 4 years but sponsorship for 2 ??? How does this work ??
After a 2 year sponsorship, do you have to renew with your employer ??

Can you renew a 4 year 457 visa for another 4 years ??

i think its for 4yrs however the visa will be for the same time

so my hubby is on perm contract however he is on 457 for 4yrs and so is the sponsership if that makes sense

yes you can renew but really you should look at getting pr after 2 - maybe on employee sponsorship

The 2 year sponsorship validity refers to the employer being able to sponsor other additional employees. it has nothing to do with your visa validity. Your visa is valid for the amount of time stated on your grant letter (anywhere fro 3 months to 4 years, although normally it is the full 4 year period.)

my role is not on the skills list, i am an anaesthetic technician, I can get sponsorship , I have ajob offer !! but not PR I think.
My hubby could get PR if he works for 2 years for someone but he has not got the requuired quals even though his job IS on the skills list.
