Regarding IELTS
I can see many people discussing about IELTS in the thread especially low marking in the reading section. Let me share my experience and views about IELTS GT (General Training).
To me IELTS GT test looks like a game to make money. Don't know what they are expecting from the non-native English speakers in the "Reading Section"
of GT. In one hour you have to correct 30 out of 40 questions to get 6 band. While in listening section 23/40 for 6 band which I think quite reasonable and correct.
30/40 is not an average. It means 75%.
Is 75% is an average score?

Re: Regarding IELTS
I am not sure I follow. They are not after "average" scores, they want to determine that there is functional English. How could anybody function in Australia, particularly in the professions, if they cannot read English to a good standard.
