PR Granted, advice on what I need to do next...
Hi, We were granted PR on an ENS 856 VISA this week (Yey)!
I have a couple of questions to ask -
1. Does any one know how long it takes for our visa status to be updated once it has been granted, for example if we wished to apply for a mortgage tomorow would we still be seen as 457 visa holder or would our personal/credit information have been updated to Permanent resident?
2. What do I need to do now we have PR visa. Do I have to notify anyone? I have been informed that we do not have to have the visa stamped in our passport. Do we need to tell Vic roads or our bank or Medicare?
I am sorry if these sound like silly questions but I want to make sure I dont miss anything!
Thanks in advance for your replies.

As for medicare, we just took in the notification we received and were issued with new cards. We did inform the bank eventually during the course of going in for some other matter - again just took in the letter of notification.
No labels - never had a problem with this but then again never left the country.
Not sure if there is anyone else you need to inform. I'm sure someone will tell you if there is
Cheers
