Can anyone advise me as to whether it would be acceptable to write my reference as a stat dec? (If you know what I mean ) sorry I feel as though I have been harping on about this for ages!

My manager is dragging his heels over my ref. I have no-one else to ask and It is not appropriate for me to write it myself and get him to sign it.

If anyone has done a stat dec themselves I would be pleased for your input. Many thanks. I am determined to get my skills assessment off this week!

i did a stat dec to cover me for an ex employer that no longer exists but not sure about doing it for present employer

cant you ask for a sheet of headed paper and do it yourself just ask them to sign it????

Thanks for your help. He has said again that he will do it today. I have told him I am going to the solitiors at 4pm so I will have go back to work this pm and get it.

Well I went back to get it...boss wasn't there he was interviewing. Said he would leave it with the unit co-ordinator....she had gone home.....no-one could find it!


.......had phone call later to say they had found it....behind the computer! Will pick it up on Monday. Just hope it has all the info in thats needed!

Skills assessment is going off next week!!!! yeeee ha!

Well done. Fingers crossed for your skills assessment. We hope to send ours in next week or so - just waiting a reference from building supplier and then get everything certified.
