Hello, I am an American liviing outside Australia in the every early
stages of filling out the paperwork for Australian PR status.

I am interested in stories of those people who have successfully
completed their PR status and any general tips.

I currently reside in Malaysia am 40 and married (no kids) in good
health with a college degree. My wife has a relative in Australia but I
was thinking skilled migration might be the way to go rather than
sponsorship (?)

I have been teaching English the last 4 years but that is not a skill
needed in the area where I want to reside (Sydney). I also have been a
journalist technical writer and marketing manager.

Any advice would be appreciated. Is it worth it to get an agent
to help you?
