Partner Visa 309 - Sponsor Eligibility

Partner Visa 309 - Sponsor Eligibility
Hi All
I am currently going through the application process for the 309 partner visa, applying from the UK. I have not submitted anything yet.
My partner and I have been in a relationship for 7 years and living together permanently for over 3 years. She was granted Australian citizenship by descent around a year ago but has never been there.
On the section where we have to provide sponsor details, it asks the date that the sponsor arrived in Australia, which in our case is never. I’ve tried progressing without putting in a date or putting a future date but the system won’t accept it.
This has us wondering whether she is eligible to sponsor me after all. I can’t see anything in the eligibility criteria which would suggest that there is any problem but the application form is obviously causing us some trouble.
Has anyone applied in a similar situation or know whether my partner (who has never been to Australia but has citizenship) is an eligible sponsor?

Not in the same situation but I did have some 'funnies' when completing my application. My suggestion is to ring the help line. I found them very helpful. You're question is a straight forward, how do i fill the form in and so they should be able to instruct you without giving advice.
I found a lot of the Australian forms can't be completed as written and you have to take a pragmatic view. My experience to date has been - Forms very formal and sometimes impossible to answer, people doing the assessment - rational human beings.

I have been meaning to update this. I did call the helpline a few times. The first person was very nice but didnt really answer my question so I called back and I was informed to just enter the date which I was submitting the application and then to add a note to the application afterwards explaining the situation. I did this by explaining the scenario on a word document and attaching it using the additional documents upload option.
I just received a request for information letter today which is much sooner than I expected, given what I have read on here about processing times.
