I am from malaysia. Erm... I shall arrange for it because to get police clearance, I need to go to Kuala Lumpur to get it. It take one day only if i go tot the office personally. As for the medical check up, i will arrange to go the the panel hospital.

hopefully by monday ,diac will not say its a system glitch ....keep my finger cross

mentioned that it might depend on the skill. some skills may be highly in demand in AU nowadays due to the recent disasters.

Hi all

We got the same email yesterday - we applied on 30 October 2010 under the skill 'Systems Analyst'. We're over the moon!

We're as shocked as everyone else as we were expecting probably a two year wait. It would be good if everyone who has received a letter to share what 'skill' they applied under to see if there is a trend to those who received the email/letter.

From reading other posts on here it's made me a bit nervous to think that the email is a glitch in the system! Fingers crossed it's not! We're unsure whether to go ahead with the medicals just yet - what's everyone elses point of view on this?

Thanks - and here's hoping for a quick process so we all get down under soon!

For those who've recieved emails from DIAC, can you pl let me know if you see any status change in your application under the following link?

I applied on 16th Oct however, no email so far So just wondering if I happen to overlook or delete this email and hence trying to confirm with you all if there's a status change/date change on the pages of the above link that I have put in.

DIAC clearly says that they have sent the letter for selected applications and keep sending in future for those whose applications are going to be assigned a CO.

It's better you let us know details of your application. My friend got the letter but his status hasn't changed. I am also waiting for the notification from DIAC but not yet.

I am not suggesting you to check with DIAC. When your application is supposed to be assigned a case officer soon, you will be notified early or your CO straight away contact you.

I would recommend you to be patient until you got a CO. Everyone case differs and you can't compare with others.

i am having a case officer for 6 months other than form 80.he went to sleep i guess.like pollyana says time line means nothing.as everycase is different.its been 8 months on 176 application.no news yet

Just wanted to see if anyone who applied during Oct 2010 and received the 18 March email has got a CO or indeed their visa?

We applied for a 175 visa in October, did our medicals and police clearances in May (as instructed) but haven't heard anything since/no change on my online progress page.

If no one's heard anything - fingers crossed we will soon!

We are in the same situation as you. According to DIAC Processing Information applications before 01 June 2010 have a case officer.
