no activity on the CO allocation front for GSM since August ( that too,Aug.saw ONE).Is it because folks aren't updating the spreadsheet or because DIAC officials had an early christmas?

thats a bit confusing shafaqat because quite a few applicants from Jan-July were granted PRs as well,leave alone the CO.
Are you referring to applicants who were not on the CSL/SOL/MODL?

yes applicants who were not CSL, modl etc and were pushed back in the queue, now due to recent policy change if their occupation is on the new sol they will get case officer but according to date they have applied.

Also have a close look at SMP, this will dramatically increase your case officer allocation atleast.

I am confused ... i applied 175 , will the SMP increase my chances of getting an CO earlier??

I was hoping Vic may hav my job in their SMP list, but too bad, they dont

So sad if they don't have. mine is also not there
Yes i beleive if you get sponsorship it would increase your chnace of getting case officer allocation early but this will be subject to upcoming annoucement.

erm...even i get a sponsorship , i have to re lodge a new application rite... need to pay the application fee again ...

now they dont allow convert from 175 to 176 any more , so unless i lodge a new application if i get state sponsorship, else even with the state sponsorship with 175 application, it will not increase my chances of getting a CO earlier rite...
