NOVEMBER '08 APPLICANTS
#511
Thanks God!!! The long lone wait has ended...
On 17/08/2009, my CO asked me to re-upload my birth certificate, which was corrupted in their server. All other docs were in 'MET' status. So I re-uploaded it on 18/08/2009. On 19/08/2009, my CO contacted me to ask for the original birth certificate in local language. I uploaded it on 21/08/2009 and sent an inquiry to my CO asking whether the file on the server was fine or not. I got the reply back from him on 24/08/2009 that the file was fine. On 28/08/2009, the status of my birth certificate changed to 'MET' and the visa was granted on the same day.
God is great! I am lost without Him. Now there is a clearer path to my future.

I'm in a waiting game. Everything uploaded, meds and police checks done as requested and now waiting for the decision. Time is going so slowly!

Another worrying thing is even though we are in Oz, there seems to be a distinct lack of work available, and what there is advertised, the companies never come back to you. Worrying times at the minute.

Re: NOVEMBER '08 APPLICANTS
Thanks for the update.
Hard to believe that an eventful year has just passed.
I applied GSM 175 14th November 2008 and finally granted 13th May 2009, Planning to go for citizenship mid 2010.
Was just wondering how the other Nov 2008 applicants are doing?

Wow Malikkhi, that is a long wait. My documents were all "met" except for the medicals (as I needed further tests). But as soon these were cleared (turned to 'met') I received the pre-grant letter. Is your status not turned to "applicant approved'? Sometimes letters go haywire. Did you sent a PLE recently and do you know why the grant is being held up? (routine checks??)
I hope things change soon,
Sylvia

When i asked how long more he said we can't give u definite time frame. As u know they don't disclose what currently going on with my application whether its in security checks or employment checks, etc, for all these question the standard reply was "routine processing". Lolz don't thing everything MET means u will have the grant shortly
Any idea what exactly the routine checks are?

Re: NOVEMBER '08 APPLICANTS
Our visa was granted in the middle of December. We're not on the CSL nor did we have any sponsorship however due to special circumstances and an appeal it was processed as a priority. I'm very grateful it was.

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of special circumstances got your visa processed even though your not sponsored or on the CSL.
Maybe all of us unlucky MODL applicants could have a go at that route!
Cheers
