Hi Gurpreet,

Today we received THE email - our visa is granted! It was very unexpected, took less than 5 months before final decision :-)

Good luck!

Hi,

There were a few updates in this morning at the austimeline. A medical was requested after 4 months and 5 days, that is around 18-19 weeks.

I hope they are speeding up know! I think they were overwhelmed by the July changes and know they should be back on track processing applications.

Cheers, Tibi

Hi! Angelico,

Now it should come soon....... Keeping fingers crossed.....

That's true, there should be a feeling that things are moving.... otherwise waiting is very difficult ... only we can understand each other's feelings.

Let's hope for the best......

Good news, so it seems that medicals or 1022s are requested in 4 months now

I am just wondering whether you can frontload 1022 to save time? I mean you can send it a week or two before the request should come and then maybe your visa is granted right away.

it's a funny one because sometimes if everything has been front loaded then they dont ask for form1022.

I think the reason they asked for ours was that our agent only sent the police checks about two weeks before the request, so they obviously crossed over.

Bit annoying as if theyd gone back earlier we might have had the visa granted straight away, but hey ho...

Hi tibidabo,
I spoke to my agent yeaterday and he said the DIMIA are quoting 4-41/2 months time from aknowledgement to meds/PCC requests. He also said that it is reasonable to chase up unrequested meds/PCC at around 41/2 to 5 months.

Cheers
