Re: New Family Member after VISA Grant letter
I'm sorry, I'm just baffled! Are you seriously suggesting that a family should abandon their child in their home country and emigrate to Australia without him or her just because they have spoent some money? Odd priorities some people have.....

I am also gobsmacked that someone would even see that as an option.
If you bring a life into the world you have a responsibility to that life, even if it means you may have wasted some money and not get to move to Oz!

What about the case if wife is pragnet before validation of PR visa and baby is delivered in Australia once move in there.
What will happend in that case. Do we need child visa there as well? What will be the child status in that case.

If the family have already validated and moved to Australia then things are a little different. Generally speaking a baby born in Australia, to parents who are PR, is an Australian citizn, therefore does not need a visa.

Then you need to apply for a child visa for the baby. As stated in the original answer to the original post...If the baby does not pass the medical everyone's visa is cancelled. Read the whole thread.

If the visa for the baby has been refused once, then it is unlikely to be granted if the family reapply. Refusal for a baby would probably be based on medical factors more than anything else and so reapplying won't change things.

In this case, does baby has to go through the medical before applying for citizenship.

Re: New Family Member after VISA Grant letter
1. Parents can take care of the child for first 9-10 months (when it can't live without mother). Because you have 1 yr to make initial entry. Even after the entry they can again come back to home country until parents are assured that baby is not physically dependent on them.
2. Later on, it can be adopted by uncle/aunt/grandfather or first kin in the home country and parents can migrate.
Why isn't that possible, specially for subcontinental people who have strong families ties and your uncle/aunt will love to raise you with all possible parental love.

Not necessarily the child has to be abandoned and still the parents can migrate.

Just imagine what will your child think when he grow up that their parents left him to his uncle/aunt just for the sake of visa.
No offence but to me it is shameful act.
