Re: New Family Member after VISA Grant letter
Since you've already got your visa then you'll have to apply for a child visa for the baby.

There is no way to add the baby to the visa once it's granted. So you'll have to go through the child visa process.

And if there are any health problems with the baby, the whole family's PR visas can be cancelled (as baby was born before validation).

Why would you want the visa cancelled just for the child????

They don't need to start all over again, they just need to get a visa for the baby, as in Post 2 above, but if the baby is not granted a visa then the rest of the family may have theirs cancelled.

As for your thread it was probably moved because it was not immigration, visa or citizenship related. This section of the forum is for those specific topics only. General chat or Australian lifestyle topics go in the Barbie or main Australia forum.

If the baby fails the medical then everyone's visa is cancelled. Otherwise the rest of the family could migrate and then what happens to the baby? Would they leave it in their home country? If the baby has no visa they can't bring it with them. Logic.
