Medicals
Hi,
Just wandering how strict the medicals are,my 12 year old boy has a condition called enamel difficiency. He has to go to a specialist dentist about every 9 months or so as his teeth are obviously still growing and need building up.When they are fully grown he will have some cosmetic work done on them and afterwards shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Any info would be great.

Basically the doctors does the tests, looks through the medical details you have given them, and then recommends A (should be OK ) or B ( requires analysis ). It goes to Aus, where it is reviewed and then you pass or fail.
The are plently of responses on the forum about what the tests are, and what the grounds for failure ( typically cost over 5 years to Oz medical services ).
Dental is not part of the health service here anyway, and its all plenty expensive, so I'd look into the costs of the treatment here as well as the visa medical issues. People even go to thailand etc to get extensive treatment as its cheaper there, then in oz. ( http://www.smiledentaltours.com/ )

Re: Medicals
Make sure you declare the problem on the form & take reports to the medical to submit with the paperwork. The more info you can provide, particularly with regard to long term needs, the better.
People seem to get through with more complex needs so try not to worry too much.
Good luck!

Re: Medicals
My youngest has a skin condition that uses over-the-counter lotions and I stated what he had & used.
Also provided information from a doctor on his condition.
We just sent our meds in so I'll let you know how it turns out. All of us passed our meds according to the panel doctor.
